On the way to this room the security guard felt the gun in my client’s waistband. Once they took him to his room, they shut the room and called police. Police arrived and knocked on the door and saw the gun on the bed. They arrested my client for being a felon in possession of a handgun. Client was a true habitual, meaning he was facing 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
